Pirate Football program ads now on sale

Business and personal ads for the 2008 Wylie Pirates Football Program are now on sale. All proceeds are returned to the Wylie Pirates Athletic Booster Club, an organization that supports all high school and junior high sports.

Pirate football Camp of Champs next week
The Wylie Pirate Camp of Champs for all incoming seventh and eighth football players will from 2 to 5 p.m. be July 21 through 24.

Farmersville Riding Club
The dates for Farmersville Riding Club horse shows are as follows: July 26 and Sept. 21. The rain dates for each show are Aug. 9 and Sept. 28.

The closed play days are every third Friday of each month and conclude on Oct. 17. Rain dates are set for the following Friday.

The saddle barrel series kicks off Aug. 21. The remaining dates are Aug. 28, Sept. 4, Sept. 11, with Aug. 2 and Sept. 6 as rain dates. Contact Rhonda Wright at 903-268-3474.

The 2008 Youth Buckle Series will hold events July 17, 24. It’s open to children ages 0-18 years. Featured events include quarter horse poles, goat tail untying, speed barrel and cloverleaf barrels.

Registration starts at 7 p.m. Grand entrance at 7:45 p.m. and events will begin at 8 p.m.

The cost is a $25 one-time registration fee and $3 per event for FRC Members, $4 for non-members. For more information, contact Mary Jo Shelton at 972-679-2983.
